This is the time of year when mites are active. Especially during a mild dry winter like we are having here in the Denver Colorado metro area. I highly recommend pulling out the garden hose and SOAKING both your lawn and evergreens such as Pines, Spruces, Junipers etc. Many times the mites come down from the evergreens into the lawn below them. That's usually where they are found as well as next to a fence or building where there is heat reflection off of it. They like warm places such as south facing slopes and along concrete sidewalks and driveways. You can basically drown them out with massive amounts of water, but the best one two punch is to treat them with insecticide, wait at least 24 hours, then soak the crap out of them!
